What I've Been Reading (Oct 2024)
Today (10/4), I read and found some cool things to read. Perhaps this is a glimpse into my life or something. Here they are:
- Feynman's experience on the debrief of the Challenger crash -- found on cd for robotics reasons
- Cargo Cult -- not a particularly interesting article but I use wikipedia a lot and this is simply one tab open.
- Marcus Aurelius - Meditations -- philosophy yay. specifically stoicism. not sure why I chose this particular one but apparently it's sort of motivating and yeah we'll have fun reading this perhaps.
- John Green - The Anthropocene Reviewed -- Truth be told, I haven't started the previous book and barely scratched this book. My friend suggested I read this, so I am dutifully following him, although Green's writing is similar to my friends' and I am getting a little annoyed at that.1
- The Scarlet Letter -- Required book for AP Lit Reading. For me, since I try to appreciate everything, it's a great book by school standards. On my own however, I'm not sure I would willingly pick this up. Still overall going well though.
Anyways, a while ago, I found this article on Phrack. I think it's really cool, and the opening section in particular really lays out the mentality of being a hacker. Would suggest all read it (or all that consider themselves "hackers"2).
Hopefully I post more often.
This college application gauntlet ain't really helping.
Neither is my ineptitude at doing anything and everything.
