New Years Resolutions
I don't really believe in New Years' Resolutions. I think they're beneficial, but they don't really work for me.
From what I've observed, in previous years, my (and others') resolutions aren't really achievable -- they're simply sort of aspirations that we want to achieve, with no real plan to back it up. Perhaps then I'm just not making good new years resolutions.
Whatever the case, like CGP Grey mentions in one of his videos, have perhaps a yearly or seasonal theme1 to define the season. So for me, that theme has gotta be flow2. We highschoolers are too caught up trying to beat each other and win and be the best that we simply don't let ourselves live and just let things come to us. In the pursuit of perfect, we lose good and ruin our health (sometimes).
Anyways, although I said I hate New Years Resolutions, here are my two:
- Don't eat donuts (for the next 5 years)
- Don't use devices during dinner (unless it's a communal things).
We'll see how I do. Happy resolutioning (resolving? do you resolve to do something when you set down a resolution for the new year?).
