June 2025
I'm not sure if too much happened in June. On my end at least, it's been a lot of little things that have made the month go by. With that in mind, here is just a massive list of things I did in June:
- As discussed in May 2025, I went on a tour of Ireland. See corresponding posts.
- I started driving (for real this time) :). I still need to get my Driver's License (DL) so I've started kinda preparing for that. Driving is not fun nor do I like it but yes it does let me get around a lot. Still not a fan. That's not to say I'm anti-car, I'm just more pro-most-other-forms-of-transportation.
- Started programming somewhat more. I still don't think I'm programming much at all, but I've been doing things :). That's a w that I'll take. Unfortunately however, I haven't been expanding/pursuing some (probably more better) projects that I think I should be doing.
- Along those lines, I built some cli tools for me to keep track of my days and what's happened in each. As such, these recaps will hopefully get better and better but moreover I can now view each day and what I thought of it in the moment. (The tool in question is in the
time-tracker-2
folder.) - Actually started making playing cards. As of now, I've finished a design for a set of playing cards that I hope will be printed shortly, and I'll cut them and corner round them manually. We'll see how making my own deck of cards goes :)
- Transcribed/put into music notation some cool jazz solos that have all been transcribed. Lowkey more of a programming exercise for me (with Frescobaldi notation software), but yeah that's something I did :)
- Had my Eagle COH with my good friend. I think this wraps up my scouting journey (at least for now).
- Finished chapter 1 of a classic real analysis textbook (Abbott's *Understanding Analysis). Currently I think I'm avoiding chapter 2 by instead reading recent papers on Arxiv but good progress has been made nonetheless.
- Cooked. Notably, a beef stew and an apple pie (from scratch). Both tasted good.
- Hosted a jam session at my house.
